Ranger .22 Info.

Hey folks,

I have an old .22 passed down through the family, any info. appreciated.

The only markings I can see are 'Ranger' and .22
It's a tube feed with a nice blond wood stock, chrome butt plate and trigger guard.

"Ranger" is a brand mark, and may not reveal too much about your gem.

Tube-fed repeater? I would compare with Cooey model 60 pictures to start...

Posting pictures of what you have there would remove lots of guesswork.

Most likely a Cooey 60. Gunmakers would tag the rifles and shotguns to individual store brands (Simpson Sears, Eatons etc).

My brother had a Cooey Ranger that he bought from Eatons back in about 1960 or so.

I think a few stores carried "Ranger"...
If it's a tube fed, purchased in Canada, repeating .22 it' is very likely a Cooey 60, but description of blonde and nickel doesn't really sound Cooey.

Hi ,I had the same problem. Searched online didn't seem to help until I looked at the mag . Cooey, if it's semi auto try cooey 64
