Ranger plates on LAR mags - Which one do I need

Magpul ranger plates (from what I've read) will reduce your round count to 9 in the LAR mags

Depending on the rifle, maybe the original 'magpul' that sits outside the magazine body

Otherwise you are limited to C-products 'tacti-pull', but those are increasingly hard to find

I've got both Ranger plates and L plates, it's how I distinguish between 5 round and 10 round mags. Mine are 7.62x39, so all my mags are pistol length.

Both plates work great and can take a beating but the Ranger plates add some needed length to LAR mags.

I had to trim the legs on all the followers. I used side-cutters, took 20 seconds per mag. I removed enough to insert on a closed bolt. Comes out to about .250, but measure for yourself. ;)

CTCS is great to deal with.
