hey guys/girls , i am moving to Delisle (near saskatoon) , im sitting my pal/rpal on the 2st and 22nd jan , where are the ranges to join for pistol ownership , i know there is the wildlife one and the gunworx one , but is there any smaller ones (maybe privately owned?) i am moving from NZ and bringing my pistols with me , i want to have my FAL and membership all sorted before my handguns arrive in thier container from home ,
what is the exact rules for membership , ie , minimum use over the year to retain handgun ownership etc ?
cheers for any help

Your pal and rpal will take some time to get. Typically a couple months if I remember correctly. Wildlife federation is your best bet as there are three range locations. Besides Saskatoon Gunworks there's nothing in Saskatoon. You don't need to use them a minimum at all, you just need to pay to keep your membership valid. I'm not sure about import but to purchase a handgun the cfo will want to see a valid range membership. Also need att and registration for each restricted gun. Welcome in advance!

The other Saskatoon ranges are the Saskatoon Muzzle Loading Club and the Saskatoon Gun Club( the Trap, Skeet club).

Rosetown Handgun Club, about 75 km from Delilse the opposite direction from Saskatoon. Apparently they have an indoor range and an outdoor range. I know nothing about it other than I saw some info for it online.

In case you are interested. The Saskatoon Rifle and Revolver Club uses the Saskatoon Wildlife Federation ranges. The host PPC on Tuesday nights, IPSC (indoor) on Wednesday nights in the winter months, outdoor on Wednesday nights during the warmer months which can be pistol, rifle or shotgun or a combination. There are monthly PPC matches and monthly IPSC matches. Some of the IPSC matches are held in Regina. There is a big 3 gun match being planned for August.
