Ranges

Anyone know of an outdoor range or a place to shoot around the Calgary area? I just got my m-14 shorty and I'm bored with the indoor ranges.

Just don't go anytime you think it would be nice to shoot, or be prepared for some redneck action.

Weekdays are OK. I usually will try and leave town about 7am or so and that usually gets me some peace and quiet.

It's been getting harder and harder to beat the crowd out there. Last time I was there on a weekend I ended up leaving by 09:30 due to the amount of dogs running loose on the range and the unescorted toddler stumbling around the firing line while his dad was shooting.

Wow that's sad. I kind of just want to find a secluded spot in the woods, but its hard to find without being on someone's property or in a national park
