I bought the CZ factory black handgrip from Wolverine (great service btw).
I searched this site for info on how to do the switch; read the available stuff, which really gave very vague information. But I went with that and here's what I found out. The hard way.
Bottom part:
When I had the new piece in place and had to drive the pin back in, to secure it, the pin did not line up with the hole on the far side. I had a ##### of a time with it, and basically just beat it until it finally went in. Didn't damage anything, but what a ##### of a job!!
Is there an easier way!?
Top part:
OK, removing the top piece. Ya gotta bend those 2 little tabs back; easy enough. Rotate the old piece and remove. OK, no problems there. So then I put the new top piece in, turned it around until it was in place.
But again, what a sonofa##### of a time I had getting the new piece secured! You've got to bend those 2 little metal tabs over and every time I tried the stupid plactic grip piece was turning on me.
I don't know if this is right, but here's what I finally figured out!!
Tape the living #### out of the plastic, with duct tape (or other), to protect it. Then I took vice grips and put them on one side to hold the stupid thing in one place. Once I finally had figured that out, so the goddamn thing quit moving on me, then it was a snap. But nowhere did I see any helpful info on that simple trick. So that's why I'm sharing this #####, rant...
