 As some of you may know i live just outside the city of prince george, i had an excellent hunting spot an atv ride form my house me and my dad went to all last year , but there was a property with an abandoned house on it and we had to pass through we got permission from the person who was taking care of it and he gladly let us through, the other day me and my friend drive down there and greet the care taker of the property and i said, "Hi we came through here last year to hunt in the back area we are just going to go look for bear sign", he says "nobodies allowed through here anymore" and of course we reply "why not"? he tells us some ####ers that have been partying down there have completely destroyed a 60,000 dollar home and they had started on the barn they knocked out all the walls they stole the furnace they basicly wrecked anything they could so now NOBODY is allowed down there period or they will call the cops, and then he continued by saying somebody shot one of their horses in the back portion of the property IM so floored about this because the hunting back there is fenominal and I do have a slight idea about who may have done alot of this so im going to tell them what i know :bangHead: :bangHead: :bangHead: rant off:mad:

its a shame that you losty the use of the property but this is becoming an all to common practice with landowners. if you do have even the slightest inkling of who was responsable for the damages you should inform the caretaker as well as the police. you may never get the property back but at least a lesson will be learned by the tresspassers and vandals

A freind recently told me about a farmer out here in SW Ontario who used to let lots of people hunt his property. Then someone decided his new combine would make a nifty target and shot if FULL of holes. Same story, he won't let anybody hunt his property anymore, and you can hardly blame him.

My wife is from PG. And from what she tells me, this isn't unexpected. I just don't know why is it so hard for people to be normal and leave other peoples stuff alone?

no kidding

and shooting a horse with a .22 ????? i don't care if the horse is worth a million or 2 dollars for the glue factory ......thats just cruelity .........people who do that stuff deserve a beating

We had some hunters that shot a cow, and in thier hurry to get away, left the gate open, so the rest of the cattle wandered off. The hunters where not from the area, did not have permission, and did not get caught. They have closed off a lot of land to any hunting because of these usless pieces of crap.

So again, why do people do this? We know right from wrong. We have a consionce to tell us "Don't do that!" so how hard is it to respect other people stuff? Stay off their property, don't shoot their property and there will be no problems! These are the reason why hunters have such a bad image. We need to weed them out from the inside.

thats what happens when idiots with no respect get a gun and hunting license:rolleyes: whenever i get permission to hunt any property i offer my full name, adress, and ID to the landowners. this not only lets them trust me, but it clears my name if any idiots decide to damage property;)

im with a few other nutz...a good beating is the only way that some of these morons will learn their lesson;)

I always try to explain to landowners that I can police their property for them if I am allowed to hunt it. And with a letter giving me permission to hunt and police for tresspassing I can act as their Agent and make arrests, call police and lay charges for them.
Inexpensive part-time security...
Good luck Moose Hunter.

I seriously doubt the the idiots shooting the combine or horse below had permission to hunt the property. The landowners are working on the same principle as the Liberals, ban guns so crimminals can't have them
Stop hunting on property so hunter won't shoot up there stuff

Thats exactly what I do. I tell land owners these ####ers only come around when they are sure no one is using the property. Give me permission and I will come by and police it for you. Once they see activity in the area they are more likely to stay away

talk to the care taker and maybe you , your dad and him can work out a schedule for patroling the place

I agree, I've never EVER met a fellow hunter who would be that disrespectful. Sounds like a bunch of young a$$holes.

That's brutal.
