This is actually a pretty sweet carrier, but without plates, rifle mag pouches move too much, as the large compartment for plates cause a lot of slack.

If you don't want to fork out a few hundred bucks for plates, or you're a peasant like me, you can improvise a set from ceramic floor tile and duct tape.
