Man am I thrilled to get my hands on this puppy. 500 were made and I have one complete with original shipping crate!!!!! From my understanding these were never sold on this hemisphere, it was a european thing. Anyone got any more info on them and yyes I have googled and read as much as I have found. I am actually tempted to not shoot her, I feel conflicted since I am a die hard non-safe queen kinda guy.

It is not unfired but the condition of the bakelight styled finish and bluing is incredible for its age. I might put a couple through it tomorrow to check function, the inside of the flash hider is also threaded for the optional supressor. Very funky unique gun. And to have the original crate is a major find in my opinion.

If you notice the end of the rod has a red rubber tip, it is as new. I am breaking the cherry on her tomorrow night at the range and a couple of the guys want me to bring my 858 as well to check it out. I am gonna turn the lot of them into military gun enthusiasts. My father just came over and he is tagging along tomorrow to try her as well.

There's nothing like bringing your fathter to the range......"thanks to him", I've an Ithaca 72 lever and plans for a 10/22 Tommy-gun-kit exclusively for him in my rimfire batch...:)

To be fair, he did take one look at my AR-7 (first firearm ever-purchased by me, back when), gave me a wad of $$$ and said "go buy yourself a real metal-and-wood rifle. :D

Yup, he has been away from shooting since his military cadet shooting days. He loves my Armi Ap74 and my 10/22. He almost has ants in his pants feeling he says at the age of 69. My 22's have gotten him back in the game and he is looking at a couple of guns for his first purchases in 38+ years.

Hm got a delima for sure now. It shoots very well, sight is small and tight and has elevation adjustments for 25 yard increments up to 125 yards. Cycles hi output and federal bulk easily. I wanna shoot the heck out of it like my 10/22 but it is such an uncommon piece I don't want to use it for fear of developing an issue or breakage.

Well then don't use it like your 10/22 but get over your fear and don't relegate it to the safe. Its a great find have fun with it and just enjoy using it for what it was designed to do:)
