Hi,

I traded fro an Egyptian Rasheed at the Chilliwack show.

Can anybody verify that the rear sight sliders and the leaf for the Rasheed and Hakim are the same from their collection.

The rear sight slider and leaf look the same from an internet search, but ?

Does anyone have an extra Rasheed slider and leaf from a Rasheed ?

Thanks.

Two different guys - I've talked to them both - one works in a call centre, the other is a programmer

They are different between the Rasheed and the Hakim.

Also, why do people call it a "Rashid"? It literally says RASHEED right on the receiver.

This Arabic name has many pronunciations, so Rasheed, Rashid, Rachid and several more are correct. I don't think it's a good idea to think that import mark is the ultimate truth. Many SCW rifles were marked "made in URRS", but I don't recall such a country.

Hi everybody,

Thanks Walther_PPK, the markings on my Rasheed are so faint the only clear markings are the AR, in UAR. The serial number is clear.

Thanks mbogo3, neither had the parts I need.

Thanks sniper73, the Hakim rear sight pictures on the internet and on the Rasheed look the same. I would have assumed they were the same leaf and slider to avoid the cost of retooling. The different ballistics would have be taken care of by the rear sight base.

Thanks for the help and any suggestions would be appreciated.
