Hello!
I need the bolt that attaches the barrel band to the upper handguard on a Rashid.
I don't know the thread on this bolt; perhaps it is a metric thread.
The shaft's length is less than 1/2" and it has a conventional split head.
Everything's A-OK now. I found some metric threaded bolts in 5x0.80 mm, about 1cm long with a countersunk head.
I put one in my Foredom flexshaft collet and ground the head with a nice shallow curved top, reduced the diameter of the head slightly and polished it.
I then flame-blued it in five passes, quenching in motor oil.
It fits there to a T and is undistinguishable from the other screws. Very nice!
