How would a lightly used Sringfield Armouries Stainless steel 1911a in .45 Cal rate out of 10 on fit and finish and reliablity and compared to other brands of 1911s?Thanks.:canadaFlag:

WE would have to see a pic of it to be totally honest with you. If its in really good shape then it should have a high rating I would suspect as well. I own one myself but of another makers brand so its hard to judge without seeing it.

The only problems I've had with any of my Springfield pistols is the plunger tubes have come unstaked, resulting in a slight wobble which caused binding when disengaging the safety. The detent was slightly misaligned. Easy fix, and never looked back. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another, and I recommend them to anyone looking to try out the 1911 platform.

What i'm asking is where does the Springfield Rate on the scale if a Norinco is a 1 and a Colt is a 10,What does the spingfield rate?

Haha Norinco a 1?

What does that imply? A lot of people would put a tuned Norc ahead of many others.

A 1 to me on any scale would imply absolutely no fit, finish or function.

This scale is too relative to the interests of the user.

Springfield is made in Brazil, so I'll put it equal quality with any Taurus, I'll rate it as a number 5 !
BTW if you put the Colt at 10, then Les Baer, Wilson and Nigthhawk must have a 25 number on your ratings scale...
