A little over a year ago I decided to rattle can a rifle for the fun of it. It looks super cool and was a great way to hide the damage caused by UPS to this chassis (got damaged in transit and returned to us). After a year and a bit of use the rattle can paint is holding up quite well. Just figured I'd share how well this lasts. It's not as durable as Cerakote, but it does the trick and it can always be resprayed as needed.

I've done the same thing with a few items. I've found that when you're done painting with the colours and pattern you want, a couple coats of matte clearcoat help seal everything and make it last longer

I've done a couple of rifles in some good ol' rattlecan goodness and they have survived pretty well through a couple of seasons of hunting. Good surface prep goes a long way and some a couple coats of matte clear can give it some extra protection.
