This is my 5.56 Raven build that I completed in March. Last year I decided to sell any gun in my safe that hadn't been shot in 2 years to fund one really nice rifle that I would like enough to shoot a lot. I built this to be a more precision "SPR" kind of rifle (500-600m) first that can also be used for IPSC and 3-gun. Naturally she's pretty heavy at about 12lbs loaded.

Build list:

Raven 5.56 platinum build kit - $1500
Criterion 20" hybrid profile 1:8 5.56 barrel - $500
CMT UPHR MOD-2 15" handguard - $330
JP .750 adjustable gas block - $180
Unrivaled technologies UB Brake - $200USD
Rainier rifle length gas tube - $50
Unrivaled technologies competition buffer - $169USD
BCM bolt - $150
Hiperfire 24C trigger - $380
Magpul K2+ grip - $35
Magpul STR stock - $130
Apex Optics Edge 1-10 LPVO - $1800
ADM 34mm adapter for recon mount - $130
Apex Optics Atom red dot - $475
Arisaka high 45 offset mount - $200

All in not adjusted for USD the whole build came in at $6,229. In return I got an extremely nice shooting 5.56 that can punch holes at about 1.5MOA with bulk ammo and .75MOA with Superperformance Match 75gn. Without optics and mounts this build is only $3700, meaning you're getting a more accurate rifle with best-in-industry gas system & brake and a phenomenal trigger for about 1k less than a B&T and $1300 less than a NR Bren 2. The only upgrade this rifle really needs to compete with those two from a "combat" reliability angle is the Gen 3 upper with a dust cover and forward assist.

Very happy with how this rifle turned out. The only fitting hiccup I encountered was that the JP gas block did not fit the CMT handguard which had to be modified to provide clearance for the gas adjustment screw. Here's some footage of it during our fall practical rifle match earlier this month.
