I know there was a problem with the Gen 1's, but is there a problem with the 2's?

I don’t think Lockhart has made any Gen 3 forward assist bolt carrier groups yet. Only the Gen 3 forward assist uppers. Kinda useless without the BCG’s. Main reason why I haven’t bought one. And no they won’t be free. They’ll be around $250 for the GEN 3 forward assist BCG

No , problem, gen three has a Forward Assist and a dust cover.

Interesting, so if I purchase the $600 g3 upper I'm not eligible for the the g3 bcg? So not really any point in upgrading at this point I suppose

The FA feature isn’t really a need so much as a want

I do feel that if you bought a gen 3 upper, a gen 3 bolt should be allowed for free or discount. Or better yet just combo it together.

There should be a few YouTube videos comparing. The gen 2 is still skeletonized but not drastically.
