This RCAMC officer's grouping just fell into my lap. I have Major Harry Thomas Norry's beret, tunic, trousers, great coat and footlocker (as well as two ties and a belt), all of which are specifically named to him. Based on the tags inside the tunic, coat and trousers I'm able to determine that he was originally a Captain (in 1942) but seems to subsequently have been promoted. The shoulder patches indicate that he was part of the 21st Army Group but I don't know much more.
I was also able to determine that he was born on Feb 18, 1914 and died on Feb 7, 1992. He's buried in the Woodstock Presbyterian Cemetery.
Is there anyway we can find out a little bit more information on this man's military service? I noticed the number: 36040 written inside each of the garments.
