RCBS case lube

I've found, that while RCBS case lube works well, that it is a little too much on the 'sticky' side for my liking. My favorite, by far is IMPREIAL SIZING DIE WAX.:) A very little is all that is needed so it lasts you a long time. Check some of the posts by hs4570 on the topic as he has found a few other readily available alternatives that also work well.

I'm lazy, and load a lot of ammo. Therefore, I can't be bothered with sizing waxes that you have to apply individually by hand. I grabbed a spray bottle of the RCBS lube and the Lyman lube from P&D here in Edmonton, and both work well. The RCBS is a bit thicker, and I'd probably stick with it over the Lyman stuff - but the majority of my loads are partial or neck-only sized, so anything works well.

Lately, I've been using collet neck dies for everything - no lube required at all :) though it's best to start with clean brass

Kiwi nuetral shoe polish is the 'alternative' in case you can't get the search function to return any useful hits.
Also the Lee sizing lube seems pretty good, I currently use the old Hornady lube for pads, much like the original RCBS case lube.

case lube

i have used lyman case lube it works almost as good as the rcbs spray can , i do use lee case lube for case mouth sizing , i bought 2 cans of hornady one shot case lube in a spray bottle it does not lube brass gets stuck imediatly, last friday agriend and i did some brass, we used the last of my lyman spray then tried the hornady he said no more after trying to do 3 brass he said it was not worth loosing a die

In a pinch while being temporarily out of my usual sizing lube about 25 years ago I tried a non-conventional approach and used a slightly diluted STP engine oil treatment additive in a very sparingly way and as with all bottleneck cases made sure not to lube the shoulders(at the time I was doing some 30-06 cases)and surprisingly got some real good lubricity while also getting excellent mileage out of the STP.I still have that same 400ml can and also like the easy clean-up.

x2 on the Lee case lube.I've been using it for almost 20 years , and have never had a stuck case, or a problem with lube messing up powder or primers.I always make sure that I put a little touch of it inside the case mouth with a q-tip, to be certain the cases don't get stuck on the expander on the way out.

case lube

i am sending back 2 bottles of , hornady one shot case lube to higginson powders, the stuff does not lube brass well enough to resize any brass , the old lyman worked better than this stuff

I've used Lee for years, like the water solubility. Recently I've been using Dillon, in the pump spray bottle. It works very well, is very fast and convenient to apply. Imperial is just about the best for case forming.

I've used the Lee wax lube for years as well. About 3 years ago I ran out....thought I had another tube and didn't.
So I went to the kitchen and borrowed a spray can of Pam. Sprayed a bit on a cloth and wiped away. Did the inside case mouths (about 1 in 3) with a Q-tip and Pam as well. I am converted, even though I have a new tube of Lee wax lube.

Just spray enough on a soft absorbent cloth to dampen it and store the cloth in a zip-lock bag between loading sessions. I give it a shot about once a year whether it needs it or not,:) and so far so good.
It leaves absolutely no residue in the die, and you can't tell the difference between a lubed and a dry case by eyeball.
