I have a Rcbs Case trimmer and the set screw that holds the pilot in will not any more. Suggestions. Its just that tiny screw.

the screw that holds the collet shell holder in mine is pooched -stripped and wont hold a set measurement

Second on sending it back. They have a great track record on customer service, though I personally have not had to use it.

What are you guys using to tighten the screw? An Allen key with a honking big pair of Vise Grips on it?

I've had mine for 20 years and never had a problem.

RePete.

Just send them a email or call them - give them the part number(it should shown on the manual diagram) or the description of the parts. They will mail you one. Life-time warranty works well for RCBS.

bssubray is correct as you just need to phone them. They are building up a good repuration & look upon even woren out parts as being the same as "broken".

True I have not been on the phone to them for past five years as nothing of RCBS has broken or woren out.

RCBS Warranty is superb, and they will send you the parts you need N/C. I also wonder how you would strip the small setscrew, since I have had mine for 2 decades, and the original screws are still just fine. Must have trimmed close to 50,000 cases with it over the years. I guess s**t happens, though. Regards, Eagleye.

Usually when this happens it it that the socket head is stripped by using a poorly fitting allen wrench,or because the allen wrench was not properly in the socket. If that is the case, just replace the setscrew and get a new allen wrench.
