Hi todbartell, I've had a Chargemaster dispencer since begining of Oct. Only got about 14 charge combinations programmed into it so far.(need more Rifles!!!)I've thrown charges from 1.3grains.(friends 25 ACP) to 77grains. I find it extremely accurate and a real time saver. The only problem I've encountered so far is I bought a Lyman tray with a built in powder funnel. The kernels of powder stuck to the side of the funnel because of static. I fixed our humidifer on the furnace but have not tried that piticular funnel since. The one RCBS supplies with it worked OK after the fix.The cleanup after reloading is real easy. Just remember to close the drain spout after!! (speaking from experience, the powder will run out onto your bench as fast as you pour it in!)I think you will really enjoy it....Ken Oh yeh, if you encounter any problems or need any help shoot me a PM.......Ken

Im away from home until tommorow and all of my reloading stuff, but I did have a can of H4350 with me to try it out.

spits out 57.0 grains of H4350 in 20 seconds! I'm gonna like this :D

cant wait to get home tommorow and load up a ####load of 223

I just got one as well. I have loaded 50 6mm and 40 300 win mag with it. Seems to work great. Has a load weighed by the time I have the bullet seated. I have found that it is very sensitve. The odd time the scale will fluctuate .4 or .5 of a gr for no reason. For instance it will stop at 50.5 gr and beep saying it is done. Then the screen says some other stuff and then flips back to the weight but when it does this the weight will be off. I am going to try to put it on a deadicated power source to see if it helps.

I have the older setup and it works great, I can see from the posts that the Chargemasters are faster than my unit which takes about 40 seconds to drop a load of extruded powder, still very quick, it just gives me enough time to seat a bullet. Funny thing when I first got my setup I wouldn't trust it and weighed every charge on me Redding scale:eek: , after a while I weighed every second charge but now have enough confidence in it that I don't bother. It is as accurate as my static scale, the only thing I noticed is that there should not be any air current in the room, I usually turn off my ceiling fan to avoid any eroneous reading on the scale from the wind draft. They are a great time saver.

I thought about getting one and decided not to spend the extra $, I got a Dillon digital scale from my wonderful wife for Christmas.
I don't load bug volumes, 20 of this, 24 of that etc, how does it work for that, is it worth the expense?

I dont load huge volumes either...yet

I have in the past been using a 5-0-5 beam scale, and a powder scoop spoon out of the can, and a trickler. Its slow, sometimes I dump too much, and have to scoop it out of the pan. Sometimes I bump the scale with my spoon or finger and have to re-zero it. Sometimes I finish loading my rounds and re-zero the scale to find it off by a bit.

Im hoping this Chargemaster will eliminate alot of time and make my loads more consistent. Since I have a 223 and about 2000 bullets and alot of powder, it might see alot of use. Up till now I get too lazy to load large amounts of ammo

this thing is awesome

I can powder 100 rounds of 223 in thirty minutes, and the accuracy is +/- .1 gr

I just ordered my Chargemaster combo from Midsouth Shooters Supply for US$259.99, US$282.14 with shipping by USPS ground. Using a currency converter online $282.14 United States Dollars = $323.663 Canada Dollars, add 7% GST and the $5 handling fee and the total should be $351.62 to my door. Beats the $459.95 plus tax and shipping that Wholesale Sports wants for one here. I saw coolpoolken's Chargemaster and had to get one, he is a bad influence on me.;)

What about the pact dispencer and scale. they had a sale the combo was 200 american from ther site. is the pact just as good? I was leaning for the pact when the money situation gets better but i have been on the fence for the chargemaster.

I run a similar setup (PAST dispenser talking to an RCBS ekectronic scale) and find that if you get a bit of vibration while it's dispensing ( say a light bump into the reloading bench) this may affect the final weight). The transducers on these things are extremely sensitive- as they have to be to be accurate to 0.1 grain.

mine was something like $490, but I had to buy the scale and dispenser seperately, as they did not have the combo in stock. would of saved me $40 or so?

Silverback, can you keep us posted on what you rfinal cost is? I'd like to pick one up too, and if I can save $100 I will...:)

Just sometimes they nail you with some duty or hidden shipping costs when coming form the USA.:)

Mine was just shipped on 03 Jan 06 and I am expecting it to take about 2 weeks to get here which is what it has taken for most parcels from the USA to make it through Customs then to me. I will post on this thread again when I receive it and post how much Customs dings me for. So far the actual cost with shipping charged to my credit card is $337.03.

Hi Guys, it arrived today so it took 13 days to get here and it was opened by Canada Customs. So, I had to pay $21.20 for GST and $5.00 for the handling fee for a total of $26.20 plus $337.03 previously charged for a grand total of $363.23 to my door. Not bad at Wholsesale Sports it would have cost me $492.15 with tax only, then I would have to add shipping or $40.00 for gas to drive to Edmonton and back, so I saved at least $130.00 buying it from Midsouth Shooters Supply in the USA.

Finally heard back today from RCBS about my scale fluctuating 1/2 a grain for no reason. They said it is static built up on the dust guard. Oh yeh I paid $282 Canadian from Natchez and my brother brought it up a Christmas for me.
