rcbs competition FL die set(advice wanted)

Just acquired first set of this die type in 22-250.
Previously i have always strived to neck size for accuracy and brass life.
Why would there be competition die set with full length resizer ?
Should i still just neck size with the full length die or should i full length resize?
Or should i use a real neck size die ? Yes i have a bit of bewilderment happening. lol
Part # of the die set is 37101
The seater die impresses me.

Die sets can come in different combinations. You could have ordered the set with a neck die. You can neck size with any die you like, it should not effect the performance of the bullet seater. FS
 
I got the die set as part of a package in a rifle deal. The reason i put the rcbs part #
in my thread was to illustrate the fact the competition die set is not available with a neck sizer. Every caliber in their competition die set comes with a FL sizer. The FL die is different in color and part # than in their other sets. I would think their is a reason for it. Maybe not.

The main area that full-length resizing was considered "mandatory" was any in which there might be some chambering issue. A good example would be events like "rapid fire" and/or "semi-auto" military matches where many rounds had to be fired with absolute reliability. I have also heard the opinion expressed that there might be some benefit to using such resizing in situations in which there is some irregularity in the action being used. Can't attest to the truth of this. Acknowledging the current preference for neck sizing, I did use such a die set in a match 308 for many years and couldn't find much benefit when I switched to neck sizing, except it was a little less work. I also found that I would have to full length resize brass occasionally after neck sizing a variable number of times (four to eight times, depending on the rifle and load).
