So - reloading forum - I broke an RCBS inertia bullet puller - the picture was posted in another thread about pulling bullets - the end broke off. So old guy in rural Manitoba - looking at these parts - what kind of glue should I try to use to put that plastic piece back on there and have it stick and perhaps survive more impacts?? Mailing something away, or getting it mailed to me, involves a 30 mile drive into town to Post Office and a 30 mile drive home - just not worth the bother, for me, if there is a possible way to repair it??

I think I would try some 2 part cement and then wrap it with hockey tape or something similar

And if you are gegularly pulling bullets I would ask Santa for a collet style puller.
Easier to use, faster, and doesnt break

Thanks - had something similar in mind as a repair - an appropriate glue plus some reinforcement - and, your second part - too funny - I had pulled the bullets with an RCBS collet puller, in the first place, then made the mistake of putting both the bullets, those brass and some fired brass all into a rotary tumbler together with SS pins to make them "shiny" - BIG MISTAKE - about half those bullets, each with some steel pins, ended up inside the previously fired cases - most of them pointy end in - so nothing to grab with the collet puller - I was using the inertia puller to try to get them out, when I broke it pounding on the concrete floor.

nothing, no glue available to civilians is strong enough to stand the abuse of a bullet puller
but if you add a metal sleeve around the fracture to take the sideways stress you may be able to use it some more

I broke my RCBS inertia puller, sent RCBS a picture via email.

I had a new one in short order from the U.S. No charge.

They are a great company to deal with and stand behind their products.

Pound it on a 2x4 on the floor vs the floor directly

tough to say because it is an impact point.
acryweld , Weld-on#3 tap they are a solvent i use to build aquariums out of acrylic welds them solid

The process of solvent welding is simple. Apply solvent to the pieces you want to adhere, push the pieces together (not necessarily in that order), and then wait for the solvent (they are all very volatile) to evaporate into the environment and the polymer strands of the plastic to solidify

I would buy a Franklin Arsenal style one; Amazon has them for $11.00 up. Mine works great and had done about 1000 so far.

Contact rcbs, I broke the head off once and they sent me a new hammer, I then had the cap break and they sent me a new cap. Took a month or so from the U.S..

This reminds me of my mom stacking a couple of pieces of china on top of each other in the cupboard years and years ago - I was about 6 or thereabouts. Can't remember exactly what they were - maybe a couple of teacups or something similar - but somehow (thermal expansion/contraction, I'm guessing) the top one managed to get wedged into the bottom one such that it wouldn't come out again.

After a few days of thought and effort (hot water, cold water, butter, etc.), it was concluded that one would have to be sacrificed to end up with one useable whatever-it-was out of the situation - i.e break one of them as gently as possible.

Needless to say, both broke on the first attempt.

Heard some new words that day that I never knew before...

I had a Frankfort Arsenal one that broke; they left me stranded after I said I was from Canada. They said permits were required..... I am most certain that is not the case but here I am without a puller.
