I just received a RCBS lockout die from Sinclairs and I read the instructions but still can't figure this thing out. I think I may have it locked up some how.

Any suggestions? I'm using it in a Hornady LNL AP press loading .357 mag.

thanks

I've only set mine up on the bench per their instructions. Once its set up and working there is zero resistance (that I can feel) from the die. You're loading straight walled pistol brass I presume ?

Today I did some reloading using my single stage press and mounted my RCBS lockout die to check its function. It worked perfectly, without further adjustment. As stated above, I set it up earlier per the manual's instructions using the "table top" method. Hope this helps.

That was the ticket right there. I got stumped early on in the instructions and didn't read on:redface:

Thanks for the assistance HK. I think I finally have all the parts to get reloading with my AP and it is a beauty. I took your advise and went with the RCBS lockout die instead of the powder cop and I think I am glad I did.
