RCBS Lube-A-Matic - base plug

I have a new-to-me, older RCBS Lube-A-Matic that I'm trying to cleanup.

Is the base plug at the bottom of the lube chamber intended to be easily removable for cleaning?

sometimes a bigger hammer is the answer, sometimes it isn't...

Sounds like you might want to check out YouTube before you start hitting a casting with a hammer. I recall seeing some videos on cleaning Lyman lube sizers.
