I haven't metered any powder less than 30 grains out of my RCBS powder measure, but with that I've found with N110 powder, I'll typically meter nearly .5 grains short or 0.2 grains high. I'm going to be loading for 9mm soon and I don't really want to balance beam each charge it throws. What is a good powder for 9mm that will throw relatively consistently in this thing?

I've been looking to upgrade my cheapie Lee Precision powder measure. While it dumps pretty consistently, it's not very smooth to operate. I was looking at the RCBS Uniflow and from what I've been reading, if you have the regular model with the large cylinder, it's rated down to 5grains. I found most of my 9mm loads are easily in the 4grain range. I was looking to pickup the small cylinder model which dumps from .5gr to 50gr which works from my 9mm all the way to 308. My other option was the RCBS Quick Change powder measure which comes with both cylinders. You can buy a small cylinder seperately if you have the regular Uniflow.

using my lee perfect powder measure, or the auto disk on the pro1k i have found w231/HP38, tightgroup, bullseye, hs-6 all feed great down to 3gr, but i've never gone below that as the smallest round i load is 9mm.

Been using 3.5(I think) of Bullseye for eons. Runs through my powder thrower with no fuss. Mind you, it's a hand thrower and not from RCBS.

No issues with 3.* gr of TiteGroup either on the RCBS powder dispenser. Pretty accurate actually. Much more than Varget. My extruded rifle rounds go through my chargemaster now.
