RCBS precision Mic... Is it good ??

I just wanna push reloading to get more and more precision ... So I've seen the precision Mic from RCBS...

I wonder is it a good tool to have ??

Does it give the precise measure of OAL... to the Ogive

does it give the number in inches... I mean when I put that in my rifle will it let me know that the OAL to the rifling is by exemple for my 30-06 .... 2.*** ''

i haven't bought ANY measuring tools by any reloading company yet- you're better off either quality wise or price wise by going to a TOOLS storeand getting one that isn't RELOADING RELATED- micometers, vernier calipers, you name it- we ALWAYS get screwed over at least twice for quality instruments- once by the reloading manufacturers and once by our suppliers, who have to make a profit b/c they get screwed over by the manufacturers- the only instrument i have that i didn't buy outside the system is a scale, which we pretty well have to have in grains, which is kind of unique to reloading- the rest are in grams,or whatever

Yes, yes (but to the ogive of the sample bullet that comes with the tool, you can use your own bullet though), and yes. The Stoney Point version is better though. - dan

Another vote for Stoney Point COAL gauge -now owned and distributed by Hornady I believe.
