Rcbs scale foot

I just received my Rcbs rock chucker reloading kit and I have a question about the scale. I noticed that on the adjustable foot the threaded metal rod stick out past the bottom of the black plastic adjuster knob. Is this how it's supposed to be? So the back of the scale sits on just a single narrow point?

That is perfectly normal.

Perfectly normal. Same as most all scales with a height adjustment wheel to level.

See of you can get a piece of 1/2" thick glass to put the scale on or a thick piece of finished granite works as well.
The adjuster foot on the glass adjusts much better without the scale moving. The guys who tune beam scales use a ball bearing instead.
