Hi All,
I bought a used Sidewinder several years ago and since then it has seen a lot of use in my basement, and now the drum is wearing out.
The toothed drives have worn away the rim in a couple places, so when the drum gets to a certain orientation it gets stuck. It used to continue due to the normal machine vibrations, but I think that now it's pretty much done.
The list price of this thing is CRAZY, so I don't want to buy another bucket.
Does anyone have any repair suggestions?
I've thought about using any covered plastic bucket as a replacement, but the machine is designed to run with the rimmed-bucket that it comes with. I might just drill out the rivets today and try another bucket.
Another idea is to put some sort of a "rubber band" over the drive-wheels, but I can't see how to get them out of the chassis to put something over them.
Thank you,
Sean
