Looking at purchasing a RCBS case trimmer. Can someone tell me the difference between the Trim Pro and the Trim Pro-2. Is one better (accurate length and squareness) than the other?

THANKS

I think the trim pro 2 shell holder has a spring contraption on it to allow it's use with all calibers, instead of changing individual plates.

I have an antique Wilson, they still make them the same. I would not use another trimmer. You need to buy holders for what you want to trim but they are inexpensive.

I have the RCBS case trimmer. It works fine for me.

If you only want to shorten brass the RCBS will work. If you want maximum accuracey with reloads case mouths need to be trimmed square to center line of cartridge case. Straight ammo, zero bullet run out, will shoot better than crooked cartridges. Wilson trimmers cut square and with a 22 degree chamfer tool the chamfer is perfect. Have two Wilson trimmers. One for trimming the other for chamfering.
