How do you replace the motor in this thing? I took the bottom cover off, can't do anything from there. Also removed the 4 little bolts on the top plate, but the motor seems to be glued or melted to the top plate.

Now that I read the reviews of the new ones, I wish I never bought it. Crappy chinese motor and very cheap plastic throughout.

Cheaper to buy a new tumbler. Having said that the motors are fairly easy to repair.

a tumbler is a tumbler- the only difference is the size of bowl and the colour- i bought a lyman 3200 and had the central rod come loose, then the motor went- that was over 25 years- but the coming apart came all at once- now i'm running a 2500 with the auto flow, but i don't use it as it's easier just to open the top and dump the works into the media separator after it's done rather than pull the plug, let it drain, and put the plug back in- besides, the media nearly fills the drain bowl and you have to watch it as it drains

Update: RCBS did help... however the whole assembly is extremely cheap. Kind of disappointed as every other piece of RCBS equipment I own is very well put together. If it breaks again I think I'll ask for a credit.
