So I'm thinking about selling my manual case trimmers and my rcbs case prep unit and replacing them with one of these two universal case prep units.

I like the design layout of the hornady unit better, but have always liked RCBS tools. I'm hoping someone who has one or both can point out any negatives to each unit to help me decide which way to go.

I have the RCBS unit, and it works very well for me. It is quick, and very consistent. I really like the adjustable speed, and the micrometer feed adjustment.

Thanks. The more I research the more it seems the rcbs is the safer bet. Now I have to figure out where to buy one from....

I use the Hornady case prep center, like it trimming is more like a drill press and works consistently, use for 223, 303 3006 and 300mag, like the 5 front spindles for attaching brush, chamfering and any threaded attachment

If you already have the power case prep center I would keep that and just add the power RCBS trimmer.
I bought a power Rcbs rimmer a couple years ago and wondered why I had ever waited that long to get one. I used to hate trimming brass and prepping it. Add a motor to it and the task becomes enjoyable.
I did look at the Hornady prep center. The Rcbs tools like that are just better built in my opinion.
