It depends what is broken or wrong. From what I have heard, they want a picture of the problem and they will send a replacement part. If it is a big ticket item they may want a picture of the destroyed item (target practice time) and then send a replacement. Give them a call or email to find out.

Send them a message here http://www.rcbs.com/general/ask.aspx

Since you fill out your address usually they respond with "we have alread sent you one in the mail for free" Sometimes they will ask for more info or photos or for you to prove you destroyed it or to send it in. Rarely people have had to pay. 90% of the time they just send you a new part/tool free.

i would call them. 1.800.223.4570. (ya i just hit re-dial). ordered a part this morning that broke. they replaced no hassles.

RCBS warranty is good, for sure. I have phoned them and had parts replaced for everything from lubrisizers to progressives and everything in between and they send the parts out pronto, no charge. They even replaced my kinetic bullet puller that cracked after 20 years usage.

Last year I called them about a vibratory case cleaner and they did ask me to return it. They said they would have to charge to repair it or replace it if it was more than a year old. It was so I just dumped it and bought another one. Cheaper than shipping it to the States and paying for a repair. I still think they have the best warranty out there, though.

RCBS waranty service is awesome. I have a 30 plus year old Lube-a-matic, sizer/ bullet luber that needed a few parts and they are being sent to me free, no questions asked. The parts in question are what I would term 'wear parts', so I was very surprised. It is a pretty short list of companies that would do that...as in none.

I am not a fan. RCBS would not warranty a RCBS Powder Dispenser for my Charge Master 1500 which was just over the warranty period and the issue it was having is a known problem.

I went back to throwing manual charges.

You are one of the few that is not a fan of their warranty service. Funny on the chargemaster. I had issues with the 1st one I bought and they replaced it 100% including shipping
Cheers

I have been dealing with RCBS for a long, long time.

Their customer service and warranty policy is absolutely beyond reproach.

Never had a hassel of any type, and don't believe I have ever paid a cent for anything.

Here's a typical example. I purchased a used 30-06 FL die set at a garage sale for $5.00.
When I sized cases with the resizing die, it scored the cases a bit in one spot, so I phoned RCBS to see if they would polish it up for me [at my cost, of course]

They told me to send them the die, along with a case I had sized with it, plus 3 fired, unsized cases from my rifle.
I received a brand new die that matched my rifle's chamber, and the charge was exactly zero.

Doesn't get any better than that, IMHO.

Regards, Dave.

I'd call again and perhaps ask for a manager, you could have got someone having a bad the last time.

From reading here that doesn't seem to be the normal way they handle things.
