rcbs warranty work

has anyone had any issues with sending an rcbs scale back to Ohaus for repair?
i have gotten the authorization code from rcbs already, and am curious if its worth shipping or just buying new?

RCBS warranty service is first class. I've sent several items to them which always came back fixed at no charge. Some of the damage was not due to manufacturing deficiencies at all. Operator deficiency. Same deal from RCBS.

I've emailed them on 3 different problems, although reloading only for a short time. Every time, they sent me out new items, free shipping, and I did not have to send back the original. I wish all warranty work was like this! I'll buy RCBS every chance I get.

All it will cost you is postage one way, a lot cheaper than buying a new scale.

when i called they were great, didn't matter that the scale beam was broken via something obviously having dropped on it, or even the fact that i didn't even buy it(my dad broke it some years ago and gave it to me as i'm starting to load at home now)
i will be shipping asap.

Only twice in the last 20-some years have I found it necessary to use RCBS's warranty. Both times it was quick and painless.

Most other companies who offer "so-called" warranties could learn important lessons from RCBS. Their warranties are iron clad, and their customer service is second to none.
