RCBS X Dies and Competition Dies

Hi there, I have two questions for you guru's. First has anyone tried the x sizer dies, if so what did you think of them. Second anyone know why the rcbs competition seating dies are not for progressive presses?

i have a couple of x dies and not sure there better than standard dies. when you start out with a batch of brass it must be all trimed to the same lenth. then you set the die to the trimmed brass and its supposed to slow down the need to trim as often. they work but i trim often and find they don't really save me any time.

I use an X-die in .223 and its great, trim once and you don't have to worry
about case length again. I need to get one for the .308.

I usually neck size, or partially resize anyway. Almost never have to trim. Once every 10 reloadings or so. By the time the brass is over spec, it's almost time for me to replace it.
