re barrel a nagant rifle ?

i have a bubbaed nagaNT RIFLE = cuT down stock ect ect.


barrel is crap ......bad headspace as well ( bullets key holes and fired empty rounds are bulged and dont extract with out a cleaning rod.

my question is ........anyone every re barel a nagant either with a nagant take off barrel or what -ever ?

WHY Would YOU Bother You could buy something of quality for the same investment.

why? to save a old gun and restore it ,,,,,,,,,,,as to quality some of myold nagants /nfields /mausers / shoot as well as factory made sporter hunting rifles .......ok?

just a question ..........if do able another old soldier can carry on .........lots of new young hunters shooter can use a cheep /good beginner gun ........

Lucky for you they are 1" X16tpi same as Win70,Ruger77 and Sako. Rem 700 is 1 1/16" X 16tpi so it can be made smaller.A .308 bore would give you a 7.62x53R and a huge bullet selection...............have fun...............Harold ***gunsmiths hace plenty of takeoff barrels as well as gunshows

Some situations are beyond rescue. Starting from what you've got, you might get more money from selling the parts, than you would have to spend to reinstate it to rebuilt conditions.
