I had earlier put this in the "General" forum and subsequently realised that it might be better here.
I would like some informed input, on the value of a Luger I have. It's a 1936 S/42, that I believe is in good to very good condition - minor pitting on some surfaces, but mostly clean. Untouched, other than the new barrel. It is all "numbers matching" - at least, on the bits you can see without taking it apart. Because it was a pro-hib (and I'm not), I had a 6" barrel installed, 10 or 12 years ago. It has had 20 rounds through it since then and functions well. I assume that it would not have "collector" value, as it has an after-market barrel - but I don't know how much of a hit, the value takes, because of it. I have photos of it, but I've pssd away too many hours, trying to put them on here. If someone who is more adept at this than I am,would like to step up and send me their e-mail, I will send you the photos and you could put them up. Thank you for any and all input.
