I've been throwing around the idea of building a 220 swift for a few years now. My question is, has anyone on here built a 220 swift? What action is needed? The most readily available left handed action I have found is a savage 111. I'm curious if I could re barrel a 22-250 to a 220 swift and still have it reliably feed. Or would I need to jump up to a long action. I know a 22-250 AI is close, but there's something about the swift I always wanted. Thoughts and input?

isn't a 111 a long action ? ( a 2 digit number like 10 or 11 being a short action )

2.7 inches is the longest oal for the swift I could find . so lengthwise it appears to fit .
the diameter of the body is a lot smaller , but would think that a person could just bend the lips of the magazine in a bit to grab the round .

I rebarrelled a Savage 11 to 225 Winchester, and it feeds just fine. It was a 22-250 previously.

The 225 is a bit shorter than the 220 Swift, but I just checked one of
my loaded Swift cartridges in the 11 magazine, and they appear to work just fine.

Regards, Dave.
