Re-chambering a .22 LR

Silver solder requires red heat. Really bad idea. Soft solder can be used, but refinishing of the barrel would likely be necessary.
A bonding agent, like epoxy, is the best choice.

A Redman liner is 5/16 in diameter; groove diameter of the bore is .222. That leaves a wall thickness of .047. That would really require a micro weld seam to hide the liner at the muzzle, without affecting the bore.

I soldered a front site on once with "metal working solder" from Canadian Tire. Only required 350C IIRC, or even less. Don't have the gun anymore but it held up fine while I had it.

A bit looser than that. Otherwise they would be hard to push into place when tinned or covered with bonding agent.
