My .22 RIMX is quite hard to chamber all ammunition , I would like to
get it re-bored to make it lighter bolt push .

Suggestions or even better some one with experience in chambering
who will do the gunsmithing for me , I will readily ship the action to them .

thnlkz in advance ...skwerl

Before you do that, be aware that your rifle was chambered with a match chamber, which is why it is difficult to chamber a round. It is designed so that the leade engraves the bullet.

You should notice that after 50-100 rounds, it should get a bit easier, but why F' up your accuracy by having it re-chambered with a .22LR sporter chambering reamer.

Rite all the ammo I tried Eley Team , Tenex ,SK Std Plus , SK Long Range
some of the higher grades .

I don't shoot any CCI , Federal or bulk.

Rifling prints well & evenly on the bullets and the RIMX
shoots lights out .
A hard bolt push which i would like to reduce as I have
a weak right arm.

Get someone to drive you to Kelowna and have Weber and Markin do it for you.

Give them a call and they will do it while you wait, if you explain your situation to them.

Chris and his people do good work, but if you drop it with them, you will be waiting a few weeks to get it back, which in your situation isn't what works well.

If this is the same rifle youve had difficulty with from day one, Id be dealing with who sold you the rifle to begin with. In my opinion the difficulty chambering rounds is either a headspace issue or a poorly chambered barrel or maybe a bit of both. For those suggesting he needs to try more ammo or he doesnt know what hes doing, hes a very seasoned shooter whos owned many high end rimfires with match chambers!! He knows. Chambering a lead rimfire bullet engaging the leade in the throat shouldnt be that difficult as he already knows. Skwerl! Do yourself a favour and give Harley at INSITE ARMS a call. He can help you once you tell him whats going! Steer you where you need to go. Theres none finer anywhere.

dont know how to delete my post about the 20 bucks
I was attempting to be humorous to jerrys post as it was real silly as you see with my first post
so no need to be angry

One of the reasons it shoots well, is because the chamber is tight and the bolt firm to close... sell it and buy a factory .22 that closes easily and suffer the accuracy loss...
Or have the chamber rim cut about 2 thou deeper.
If the chamber walls are so tight as to impede forward movement of the round, it needs to be rechambered by a skilled man with a benchrest match grade reamer.

increase headspace 1 thou... and if still tight, another. SK/Lapua should be around 0.043" headspace... eley around 0.041 or 0.042".

the rimX should be able to close smoothly and without excessive effort and still be within 1 thou headspace to your ammo.

Something else to check... are there any burrs or rough spots on the bolt face and/or extractor? Assume you are feeding out of the mag? maybe there is some interplay between the fixed extractor and camming effort.. and something is not adjusted properly?

If you are single loading and trying to close the bolt on a chambered rd... that can also be a huge problem with the extractor style on this action. Maybe try to close the bolt on a chambered rd WITHOUT the extractor... problem go away?

good luck.

Skwerl, has physical disabilities, which, give him issues closing the bolt over cartridges in a "tight" match chamber. Not headspace issues.

Skwerl doesn't let much slow him down, if he can figure out a way to get it done.

He needs the chamber, reamed or polished to a "larger diameter" a regular reamer should do exactly what he needs done. If I had such a reamer, I would offer to do it for him. I don't. My 22lr reamer is a match reamer, ordered specifically to be on minimum spec. There's no sharpening this one when it gets dull. The chambers I cut with it are very tight. Some brands will not chamber reliably.

I've got one or two chamber cuts left on it, then it will be a pretty shiny bobble.
