Re-Chambering a RIMX

Hey Jerry , I know xactly what you mean .

The RIMX does not have xtractor cuts therefore does
not require indexing .
I don't have a barrel wrench or vise to accomplish an
enlarged head space .

You help ?

Skwerl doesn't let much slow him down, if he can figure out a way to get it done.

He needs the chamber, reamed or polished to a "larger diameter" a regular reamer should do exactly what he needs done. If I had such a reamer, I would offer to do it for him. I don't. My 22lr reamer is a match reamer, ordered specifically to be on minimum spec. There's no sharpening this one when it gets dull. The chambers I cut with it are very tight. Some brands will not chamber reliably.

I've got one or two chamber cuts left on it, then it will be a pretty shiny bobble.

Sorry, not something I can help with... if you do find a gunsmith that can loosen the barrel, FOR TESTING PURPOSES ONLY, slip a shim between barrel shoulder and receiver face to increase headspace. If issue goes away, then you know exactly where to resolve.

If the difficulty is with turning the bolt down, it could very well be a headspace issue. I've not seen a lot of resistance with pushing the bolt home on a rifle with a match chamber. Having said that, it could be that this chamber is well undersized. I have seen that too. In this particular situation, I am of course, only guessing
 
The challenge is that hard push chambering rounds (2 other shooters agree)
not undo-able for 10 rounds , just phukn phatiguing .

She's xtreemly accurate & consistent therefor I'll
xtend the bolt handle before adjusting the chamber .
