Hey All,

i FINALLY got news from Bits that the re-barreling/machining was done on the PPK i ordered.

This happened last friday, does anyone have any idea how long it takes for the RCMP to process the paperwork to have a firearm re-classified from prohibited to 106mm+ restricted?

I'M SO ANXIOUS.

Cheers!

Took me less than a week. Rebarelled a Luger and once they had the photographic proof, they reclassified it immediately.

...and on the other hand it can take months..Still waiting for a S&W19 he finished last year and has reapplied 3x. The Feds arent happy with the rebarreling/reclassifying thing as they just want the prohibs to go away as per their master plan of old.. Ridiculous

Wow, i suppose maybe Barry doesnt include pictures where he re-certify's it as restricted?

My plan eventually is to buy up as many PPK's as i can afford and have them converted to keep in circulation. Who knows maybe someday i'll come across a couple .380's and have enough money to snatch em' up.

On the contrary. He provides them with everything THEY need to complete the process. They just like to be knobs to him. Its like its personal but he has done numerous for me, some of which go well, others not so much. They seem to 'lose' a lot of information requiring refiling, which is a total crock but what can u do.

do you think they actually get crushed? once upon a time they confiscated an FN from my grandfather, before he gave it over to the RCMP he said "hold on a second gentlemen" and took a sledgehammer to it and destroyed it himself.

You shoulda seen their faces.

Of course it's personal, he is screwing with their confiscation agenda and rescuing prohibs from the crusher.

When they confiscated beer from us at outdoor parties when we were young, I'm sure it went straight into their fridges...:)

Hi All,

Update on my PPK adventure, the paperwork has "supposedly" been in the hands of the CFO for 4 months now. We gave them a call today and they claimed to have never received anything. I've been trying to contact Barry and havn't heard anything yet.

Was the CFO the proper place to call to verify they got all the papers they need or should i call somewhere else.

This is getting a bit frustrating..

Thanks all,

-Tony
