Re-lining .50 BMG barrels

[Missing Something]

Is there anyone in Canada that can put an new liner in a M2 .50 BMG barrel. I have access to some shot out ones, can they be relined?

I would think they can not be re-lined. an't say I've ever heard tell of it, that's for sure......pretty hight pressure round.....

Re-bore it to .577 and make yourself a wildcat 577-50BMG Improved or something. Or a 729 Jongmans

Second the rebore to .585". Lots of 577 rounds out there and barrels are hard to get. Ron Smith is not set up to rebore a .585" barrel, Bevan is, but doesn't want to do any more barrels. Anyone know of anyone else that can bore a barrel for a 577. BTW, 577 bores are .585".

Most .50 bmg military barrels have a stellite insert in the chamber throat, so if rechambering or reboring you have to cut the chamber off past the insert.

Casull , you list the only 2 barrel rebore- reriflers in Canada, as far as I know.

THis is an idea I would LOVE to entertain...........Say what are the popular big bore rounds out there that are cheap or semi cheap to get and are avail?

.50 is big bore but rounds are hard to get + expensive!
I searched the web for .729 with little info........Any one got any other ideas for a rebore of this .50 cal barrel?!

There was a guy in Sk doing lining at one time, but I can't for the life of me remember his name. Perhaps someone else here has a better memory. - dan
