re: Rem 700 / .22-250 Muzzle Break

why is it that you are looking to put a muzzle brake on a 22-250???

In any case, you could try Harrell Precision (h ttp://www.harrellsprec.com/). They make a good brake and they are cost effective. Around $30 each. Thier is a review on 6mmbr website.

Why? A brake makes a lot of sense on a precision rifle. You can see your bullet splash and sometimes even the swirl.
US made brakes may or may not be readily exportable, depending on whether or not the maker is licenced for export.
Have a look at Brownells offerings.
Dlask manufactures a line of brakes in Canada.
Whatever you get, make sure it is properly installed.

Rick at ATRS for sure.

He need not explain the brake to me... Donp uses one on a 6BR for shooting varmints and as Tiriaq points out, it makes it possible to watch the entire show. I was amazed at the difference.

I use a 204 so I really don't need one, but I can certainly appreciate having one on a 22-250.

I am thinking about putting one on my .204 SPS varmint in a HS stock. Should make it like shooting a pellet gun I hope. I'll ask Rick about it tomorrow.

Muzzle Brake

I'm a big fan of Vais (www.muzzlebrakes.com). They can't install across the border, but I had mine delivered, found a great machinist and had them do it. If you can't blue it, go for the stainless option. Mine's on a 308 Mauser Sporter and I notice a hell of a difference and the Vais is test-proven not to increase noise level for the shooter and spotter.
