Re sizing lead shot

I was given some #5 lead shot from a friend but don't want to reload shells with that size shot. Is there a way to melt it down so I can make #8shot ? Or should I just try and sell it and buy a bag of what I need? Thanks

Yes, you put it in a pot and heat it so the lead melts. How exactly do you expect to make a specific sized shot from molten lead?
