Want to replace the plastic stock on my older Tikka M695 with a GRS or Boyds laminate. Anyone have any tips on how they bedded the action with the round recoil lug? I've bedded rifles with traditional "blade" style lugs with no problem in the past.

Also anyone know of any other stock manufacturers that inlet for the older 695 action? I found an old thread on here where someone said that McMillan would inlet 1 or 2 specific stocks for the older Tikkas on special request, any truth there?

Thanks Nutters for any help you can send my way.

I purchased a McMillan for my M65 a couple years ago. I'm pretty sure they inlet for the 695 as well. As far as other manufacturers that make stocks they are few and far between for the older tikka's. One could always get a flat top (no inlet) and have a smith fit it. That would open up your options

I have a Boyds Pepper laminate stock available, it is a brand new thumb through. It is ready to go, it is also already bedded. I will post it on Gun Nutz later today.
I have photos if you give me your email address or cell number. $200 Cdn is my asking price. It was made for my 30.06, if you have the same it should drop right in!
The stock cost me $175(Delivered from Boyds) $30(Limbsaver) $250(Gunsmith Bedded)
I just ordered and installed a GRS $920 (Delivered from GRS) $250 Gunsmith Bedded.
Have a good one!
