I picked up one of those recoil pads that fit in the inside pocket of my shooting vest. It was more of a impulse buy than a need or want to have thing. The LGS had a clearance bin with a bunch of stuff in it. At 50% I thought it might be worth a try. Anybody use them ?

Yup, I have 4 of them. One in each of my 2 shooting vests and one in each of my 2 shooting jackets. Absolutely love them. Sometimes I shoot 200 clays in a day and I couldn't do that without one of those pads absorbing the recoil.

Where might that LGS be? I'm looking to get a couple more for myself and my wife.

Cheers,

I use the Reactar in my Browning vest and coat and the comparable Beretta product in my Beretta vest. How much difference it makes is debatable. My winter coat is an older Browning and noticed when the coat was put away for the year that the Reactar had fallen out. I hadn't noticed a difference and couldn't say when the pad was lost.

I had one in my shooting vest for a year or so. It definitely reduced recoil but I have since switched guns and removed it. With a better fitting gun, I feel less recoil than when I was using it and it allows me a better hold on my shoulder.
