So who's itching to pull back some string here in a few weeks?? I just got access to prime land and the farmer even let me shoot in and around his livestock....Im pumped as there are some huge bucks in the area. I have planned a number of stand and ground blinds and hope the wind will cooperate.

Whats everyone shooting this year?? I traded my Mathews Switchback XT for a Bowtech Allegiance.Hopefully I will hear that wonderful sound "THWACK" of my 100 gr. Slick Trick on a 180+ buck:D:D

Good luck hunting boys!!!!!!!!

Since I moved home to farm, I haven't had a chance to get out for bow season, but before that I used to hunt the no-rifle zone around Regina & Moose Jaw.

A combine is kind of like a tree stand but its hard to be sneaky!

Good luck.

I just found out I wont be getting time off this november for the shotgun season. So looks like I'm buying a cross-bow tomorrow so i can go on weekends. The reason im going crossbow is because i dont really have time to practise all the time on a compound. Not sure what kind to get but i'm thinking Excaliber...

I just returned from a practice session with my crossbow and tested my broadheads. SWEET!!!!!! Now, if the guy behind the crossbow does his job, there will be venison in the freezer this fall!

I won't see any bow action till Oct. 1st, Work has me tied up till end
of Sept.:(
Base Maintenance at CFB Wainwright has a motto which we unvoluntarily go by:
"Work will set you free!"

The bow is ready, sadly, I am not. Not for lack of equipment or permission.

If I am not working, my wife is - therefore - I am parenting. My boy is a little to young to follow dad into the woods right now.

However, I did buy the 2007 Wildlife certificate and bowhunting permit in case Huntsman is able to scale the wall at Base Maintenance one evening.
