Lousy day today, cold and rainy. The kids dug their dirtbikes out and burned some fuel while I was pissing away some time in the shop. Put a new coat on my Savage .22 just for hecks, a quick and dirty camo spray job with some krylon to try my hand at some woodland colors.

Mk II heavy barrel, Bushnell 3-9x with a Harris bipod and some Butler Creek covers. Made a riser with some foam and hockey tape, feels ok but might need to tune it a bit with more padding as its a little low still. Tomorrow I'm planning on wasting a tube or two of A7 epoxy to stiffen up and weigh down the hollow plastic stock it came in. Just thought I'd share. Feel free to comment!

The reflection off the scope lens will tip them off for sure. Need to take some steel wool to the lens, buff it a bit, gophers will feel safe. lofr'kn'l

Good rifle there. Not sure if I’d go with German woodlands camo colours though. It didn’t do well in 1945. But I guess they weren’t fighting gophers. Here’s to a good season in the gopher patch!

that should get it done nicely! My only advice would be to avoid paint and sticky hockey tape residue on your face by taking all that stuff off, and screwing one of these on instead; https://www.accu-riser.com/accu-riser-cp-4000p-monte-carlo-comb-raiser/ Those Mark II stocks seriously suck (and I know because I've had 2 of them)...but this makes using one a pretty decent experience. Worth every penny, and more gophers will die because of it..I promise. :)

The car was just a convenient place to set the rifle for the pics, my shop is a disaster as usual. Its a 55 210.

Kamlooky, as usual I don't really know what you were saying. My car is rusty down below and the clear is peeling off the roof. I can't afford a frame-off body/paint job.
