While I've never physically buried one, I fully support the idea. I can see urban folk being thrown by the concept, but for those with some acres, you probably already have some neighbours that have goodies squirrelled away. It's like the bank account no one knows about, or the folded $100 bill hidden in your gym bag, the axe in the back of your pickup, the lighter in every coat and vehicle even though you don't smoke, the roll of parachute cord in each of those spots... Some people believe in being prepared, and some people believe in being over prepared. Wherever you sit on those ideas is everyone's personal choice. I'll never talk someone out of buying a firearm, and if they are buying it to bury, more power to them. If this gun will be missed, you don't have enough firearms. Lastly, hard to steal something you don't know is there.
