Something CRF like a New Model 70 or a CZ550 in 30-06, 300 Win (S) Mag., 338-06, 35 Whelen, or 338 Win Mag.
Personally, I would pick a new Model 70 All Weather in 338 Win Mag. 225gr whatevers at 2900fps is a great pill.

Here's the moose, elk & bear rifle I had put together by Rocky Mtn Rifles at Corlane's in Dawson Creek. I decided on another .338 bore but wanted to keep it light and compact so I went with the .338-06 chambering Winchester Model 70 Fwt CRF action, bolt lugs lapped/trued, free floated Pak-Nor Sporter #1 SS bbl, fluted & finished at 23", crisp 3lb trigger, powder coated matte black, Leupold VXIII 2.5x8 in Talley mounts. With the factory wooden handle it weighs 7lbs 8oz. and my 200gr handloads hover around an inch at 100 yards...

All it needs now is a MacMillan Edge stock...
