I picked up a Mossberg 590A1 SPX. It has a picatinny rail on it with an LPA ghost ring attached. I bought a Holosun 403 for it thinking it would be low enough but, it was not. Had a Vortrx Sparc 2 that I mounted to try as well. It works but just barely.

Anyone have any red dots that are super low when mounted in a picatinny rail adapter? If so, what are the heights?

I have a Burris Speed Bead 2 mounted on a Volquartsen rail atop my 10/22. Sits very low. I liked the concept but my eye does not like the red dot. so I plan on parting ways with the Burris. Drop me a note if the Burris is of interest to you.

Pistol red dots are probably the best for that ultra low optic to work in conjunction with most traditional style shotgun stocks.
Even lower than 1913 rail clamp mounts would be "direct mounts" for the given red dot platform (eg something like Aridus CROM for the RMR or Aimpoint).
