Reamers

Greetings All,

I'm building a rifle, and also re-barreling my x-bolt.

I'm curious as to where I would get my reamers.

I need:

7mm-08 40 degree improved reamer.( shooting berger 168 classics)

7mm rem mag( berger 195eol)

And a floating reamer holder.

I looked on ptg. I'm just wondering if there are any better places or Canadian reamer companies? Also, opinions on what throat length for my reamers?

I would suggest Manson or JGS over PTG. Maybe Bighorn sales might have something .

JGS is really easy to deal with, located in Oregon as with PTG. Manson is what my smith uses, and I’ve heard the quality is top drawer.

Don’t know any Canadian manufactures but these US outfits are simple to order from.

I have used the JGS floating reamer holder for years and have been happy with the investment. I also second the above opinions regarding reamer manufacturers, JGS and Manson.

buddy just ordered a 6mm creed JGS reamer, it looks sweet! Once his actiob/barrel shows up, he'll let me know how it works! But the craftsmanship looks great!

You are wanting non-standard reamers. Call Manson, and discuss them with him. I have found him to be very helpful.
